"I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning how to sail my ship." Louisa May Alcott
Everyone needs more balance in their lives. We are often tossed about by forces we have no control over and must learn how to ride the waves.
I remember when I was delivering my son. I was terrified. My favorite place has always been the ocean . So I used it as my mantra I rode the waves with each contraction. A goal set in my mind with a tape playing whale music and the sound of waves as a backdrop.
Then as I was sailing along as peaceful as I could be. High seas hit. They said my son was in distress and I need a C-Section right away. Completely terrified , and horrible saddened I thought of the worse things. Then my husband whispered in my ear "dream of the ocean I will be here when you awaken. "
When I awoke not only was my husband there ,but my beautiful baby boy as healthy as can be.
Now I know what ever stresses or crises life sends me I need only to look toward the ocean. I imagine my ship riding and rocking steadily on the ocean . I steady my bough and head for calm waters.
Today may be rough and rocky but tomorrow always hold the promise of bright skies and a pleasant sail.
Learn to sail through the bad times of your lives. Learn how to steady and right your boat as the waves batter it. Always steer toward calm waters and gentle breezes. If you get off course breathe deep and charter your way home.
I hope you all have a calm journey today a you sail along. Hugs
