Gosh, I've been away from this blog for so long. Thanks to those who left comments, and I'm sorry I missed them. It's sorry important to have support and encouragement when trying to make changes. My husband is extremely supportive, but he's a VERY skinny guy who can't begin to comprehend what it feels like to carry too much poundage. So here I am, again. I've been working out, just not tracking it here. I welcome any and all positive feedback on this journey to health and fitness. I would love to hear from women forty and older, because it seems to be a little bit harder for us once we cross into midlife and especially menopause. But I think it's worth the effort.

The number on the scale is really not so important. How we see ourselves in the mirror is a little more important (but not really, in the grand scheme of things). How we FEEL is really important, but most of all, what we contribute to our communities and families, and the legacy we leave for the generations that follow, is really the most important thing we can do in this world. And how can we make the valuable contribution we were sent here to make if the instrument of our body is out of order?
