Party day

Sunday, September 08, 2013

We have a birthday party today for my great nephew, Preston. He's two! It's going to be easy staying on track as his parents are health nuts to the extreme. I wonder about this sometimes. Raising a child and limiting foods they can have. Never knowing a French fry or real hamburger. Preston's older brother is in first grade and preaching what his parents taught him about good and bad foods. The kids laugh because he doesn't know what a McDonalds is.

That family will never know the agony of having to lose weight. I admire them for that part but when I heard the son quote his Dad that if Mom didn't lose her baby weight, he wouldn't love her anymore, I feel such a sadness. In their own way they are just as screwed up as everyone else!

oh my, what an awful thing to say, adult or child! Sound this will be a child to grow up to be an insensitive adult...but here is to hoping NOT!

have fun at the party.

Ps I don't agree with limiting childrens foods, they need all nutrients to grow strong and healthy! Proper portions and proper nutrition would prevent child obesity problems,

oh wow...that just isn't right about the baby weight least not the not loving her if she doesn't get it off....

yep....moderation is the key....but I do agree it wouldn't be the end of the world if a kid never had a McDonalds hamburger!! :)
