Departure Day

Youngest brother drove us to the airport and left for work. Checked in our luggage. Proceed to McDonalds to wait for my second brother and his wife as they want to see us off.

It must be so very hard to be a half a world away from your family, friends, and your roots... and when with them away from your DH... You are lucky though, it wasn't so very many years ago that .... most people could never afford to go back, even for a visit or maybe especially for a visit, because the cost in $ and time just could not be borne. So glad you were able to have this visit to your roots. Bet your DH was some happy fella to have you and DD home again. Thank you for sharing some of your memories from your visit home.

Wow...beautiful pictures. Food looks yummy... I guess your daughter is sticking with "safe" food. I would go for the Chinese stuff.
