Exploring Your Spiritual Journey Retreat and Class
Saturday, September 07, 2013
It was suggested that I take this school-year-long class by a person in my church. It sounded interesting, it isn't costing anything, and I thought, "Why not?" It started out yesterday afternoon with a retreat that started at 5 pm and ended at 3 pm today. The drive to get there was 2 hours. My daughter had suggested that I get audio books on long rides and I stopped at the library and got a Janet Evanovich book.
The retreat was interesting and busy. The place was beautiful. We walked a labrynth today - the first time I ever did so. It was calming.
The class is actually going to be a little more involved than I had originally thought. The classes are 3 hours long and will be held at a place 1.5 hours away. There are books to read, papers to write, people to interview, and a journal to keep. But I will definitely know where I am spiritually by the time I am done. It's time I do this.
I am definitely tired tonight. I've still got some chores to do before I call it a night. I realized that I did it again - I've got something else to fit into my schedule. But I think this may actually help my schedule. I don't think I will veer too far off my plans for the days. I won't have the luxury.
