Family dinners can be hard because we dont always control the menu or cooking methods. i try to spend time playing with my cousins or nieces so i am not eating or drinking high calorie stuff.

Most of my family lives halfway across the country so we really don't do family dinners. I do sometimes have problems with big dinners at church though.

Thanks!

If it's held at my home I weigh and measure as usual. I may have more calories than usual but I only take the foods I really like and only have on special occasions. However when the family celebration is held at one of the other homes it's always harder for me. Don't know why but it is. Being family I pretty much know what they are serving and so I put everything I know I'm going to eat into my planner before I go and that works out pretty well but it also takes a lot of self discipline which I don't always have. emoticon

I try to make some good choices and try smaller portions, but it is very hard to do. emoticon

Don't do the large ones anymore.
