Invasion of the Dust Bunnies!

Saturday, September 07, 2013

You know how it is when you wait too long to do your cleaning. Well. I have pets and I waited too long. I was power cleaning yesterday trying to get 3 rooms in shape all with the other chores. Now I know where all the dog hair and cat dander goes!. There were huge dust bunnies under the bed.
Had to switch 2 computer setups in 2 different rooms. Well, it's done. Looks a lot better but I still have "that" room to go. You know the one. The one that you throw everything in for " storage". Not an emergency. At least I got a lot of exercise.
I very important spark people idea was brought home to me yesterday. I was also switching over data for certain important computer programs that I use like my budget program. I tried and I tried any number of things to get the data to transfer. Emailed support, read support articles, reinstalled programs all to no avail. Took a break tried again. After about 3 hours of working on it and walking between the two computers I decided to think out of the box. Didn't listen to what the support person and articles said and finally happened upon the correct solution. My point being, that persistence pays off. Even if you think that you will never solve the problem. Just persist and sooner or later you will meet with success. I need to remember this in regards my health journey with Sparkpeople. Slow persistence will win the race. Even if it takes a lot more time then I ever thought. Never, never, give up. Because just when you least expect it you will have arrived at your goal. And aren't you glad you didn't give up. All my best, Keith

You are so right about thinking outside the box to problem solve sometimes! Glad it worked for you.

Good for you for tackling your cleaning!! Now can you come to my house and do you do windows??? emoticon

Seriously you have motivated me. My kitchen floor is in need of a serious mopping since I have two dogs (and maybe soon to be 3) who track in all sorts of things coming in from their yard and I have found out the hard way that spot washing does not work effectively.

Have a great weekend!!

Oh, dust bunnies! I have them! I probably should work on that today.

Why is it that it's easier to ride my exercise bike for an hour than it is to clean under my bed?

And as for the tech support people...I'm a technician. Let me assure you, they usually are just guessing, and have no idea what's actually wrong with your computer. I have, in all the years of being a technician, only met one tech who was a super genius and always knew exactly what the trouble was when people asked for help.
