I started thinking about my goals for Autumn 2013 before I joined the team, "Challengers of HOGWARTS - autumn 1". I had the list made up of goals I wanted to accomplish and I wrote about the nutrition part of it in the blog entitled, "Progress report for August": .
where I talked about being pre-diabetic and what I planned to do about it. Also, I want to thank all of you who read it and offer me support. emoticon It is so much appreciated!

As part of my weekly goals in the above mentioned team, I decided to complete the following: Luna Scamander née Lovegood Magical Creatures: Review your life priorities: brainstorm (20-30min); prioritize (20-30min); choose two or three most important and describe them in detail (20-30min).

Here is a list of possible goals for myself this Fall season:

1. Personal study: read the scriptures and pray daily.
2. Church: As soon as it is cool enough outside, start going to church again.
3. Genealogy: start working on my genealogy and do it one day per week.

1. Finish book "Tone Every Inch: The Fastest Way to Sculpt Your Belly, Butt & Thighs" and set goals. Here is a link to the book:
I got resistance bands from Amazon. Now I will reread the exercises to be done and start weight training at home. Here is a link to the resistance bands:
(TheraBand Latex Bands by TheraBand)

2. Nutrition (what else I have done since the last blog):

(1) Called Nutritional and Lifestyle Counseling at Feldman Center for Optimal Health at Holy Cross Hospital: 954-229-7908, talked to Leslie and if my insurance will not approve for me to see the nutritionist, save $135 for an in-depth visit for myself.
(2) Signed up for a pre-diabetes class given at Imperial Point Medical Center which will be a 6-week course starting Oct. 4.

3. Sleep
a. Joined Sleep Challenge and completed Week 1.
b. Started the log recommended and will do it for one week.

1. Journaling: Bought a new journal and will start using it tomorrow, 9/8/13.
2. Will continue therapy once a week.

Take class: Signed up for an online class which starts Sept. 18, 2013, for 6 weeks entitled, How to Make Money From Your Writing.

1. Volunteer: continue with my local library.
2. Job: continue to work with voc. rehab. to find a job I can do without exacerbating my MS.

That's all folks! I hope this list helps you make your own list and remember that I am not a young mother with children at home nor am I working full-time so please set goals that fit your lifestyle AND the time you have to do them. I wish you the VERY best with your goals and dreams.

Great goals!!! I'm glad you are finding the nutritional help you were looking for. I hope your insurance will cover the nutritionist. I started journaling last week, but fell off it. I need to get back to it. I know it will help me. Good luck.

Funny I worked for Holy Cross Hospital in Sylmar back in '69 to '71. A major earthquake in '71 closed down the hospital for a while, so I ended up working for a hospital in my home town.
I like your goals. I haven't written my down, but have made metal notes. I don't do journals . The writing class sounds fun!!

Personally I was amazed at how well my body responded to more freggies, weight loss, and walking with noticeable decreases in blood sugar, blood pressure and blood lipids. I hope you have as much luck as I did.

I am very impressed that you chose goals that are important to every part of your life and not just weight loss. I think that is really great!
Funny how sometimes you think of just doing goals for one part of your life and then here you go and do it for all! Nice job!

All those are doable! Did you get your new journal? I remember you used to buy journals and date books like I sneeze during allergy season! LOL! Do you still do that?

You will have to share your progress with those goals! Nice job woman!

Finally putting a sequence of school photos in an album last night (not quite what I had intended - wanted to make a big photo collage!) and otherwise making slow progress towards MY goals of decluttering for at least 15 min/d...
(Your plan is much more comprehensive ;-)

Just look at you! Look at all the wonderful - do-able - goals you have set for yourself! I should be so organized!!! I used to be and maybe someday soon I will be again. Today I pledge to get my house in order. It could use a little TLC. . . I've neglected it for far too long. Once I get that monkey off my back, I'll feel better - less overwhelmed - and maybe then, I can get on with the business of taking care of myself. . . my health. Thanks for the inspiration, Chelsea. emoticon emoticon

You and I are very parallel in our lives right now. These goals sound like they could have been written by me. I hadn't thought of a nutritionist, though...good idea. I was fully intending on signing up for a writing class only to realize I had a scheduling conflict. Good luck with all you do.

This is great, Chelsea, so specific and incredibly well thought out. I like the wide-ranging aspect of your goals. I love genealogy and hope you get as much satisfaction from it as I have done. I've found lots of family in this part of the world and feel really accepted by them - all from what started out as a vague interest in my family background. emoticon Let me know if I can help at all with your research as I have a couple of subscriptions to genealogy sites.

Wow Chelsea, you're really rockin' it, girlfriend! emoticon

The word 'inspire' comes from 'spirit' and you certainly have plenty! emoticon

Your goals are all 'do-able' too, so emoticon emoticon

So many people set goals that read wonderful, sound wonderful, but are a little over the top in the 'attainability' stakes. But you have sensible goals that are within your grasp with a bit of effort ... and you WILL do this!!
