I feel awesome

Ok, so I was going to make a blog post, but my husband just went downstairs to go to bed, I doubt he's sleeping, so I decided to make a blog post instead.

This morning I didn't start out the day very well. I was tired. I didn't sleep well, and I didn't want to wake up. When I finally got up, I was sore from my workout yesterday. And I didn't want to workout. I was definitely "Feeling It" from yesterday's KettleBell workout. But I did a quick 10 min arm workout and then got ready for the kids to be dropped off by their dad (on his weeks, on Friday's he has a 7am meeting, so I get to see them EARLY! YAY!).

Later right after my Vlog, I walked up to the kids school and picked them up and walked home. A little later my husband and I went out with my best friend and her family for her birthday. We ate at a Japanese Bistro place. I had sushi and cake. I felt bad for the cake, so I decided when I came home I needed to do a walk. So I took the dog for a walk for 30 min.

Then for whatever reason, I felt like riding a bike. So I took my husband's bike around the block (which the blocks in our subdivision are bigger than a standard city block. Our subdivision was built weird. It was a quarter of a mile I believe. Not very far. Or very fast. I was panting halfway home. Biking is something I'll have to work on. I have MASSIVE respect for my friends that do spin classes. By the time I got home I thought I was gonna die... lol. I was panting and sweating like crazy. Came in and CHUGGED a bunch of water.

But I'm proud of myself!!! Because I woke up this morning not wanting to work out. I woke up late. And I was tired. And I was in pain (mostly my butt) from my workout from the day before. And as the day went on, even sitting was difficult, because anything that made me squat used muscles that were sore.

And OLD SAM would have used my soreness as an excuse to not do anything for the rest of the weekend. But NEW & IMPROVED SAM WANTED to work out more! Regardless of the pain.

I WANT to achieve the goals I have made for myself!!

    I was sore when I woke up today from running yesterday. I've never really tried running before, so obviously working different muscles that don't get used during my exercise bike workouts made them sore. I was thinking of making today an "off" day, and sure I'd have a good reason to and all, especially after my 9 days of great cardio workouts that followed today. But I couldn't make myself do it, so I did a bike workout that I said would be 20-30 minutes tops, and ended up doing 45 minutes, only 15 under my standard hour. I actually felt less sore & better after moving on the bike (:

    So keep up the awesome work love! You're doing awesome!!!
