Stress Bustin Challenge day #5 blog...taking time to eat helps reduce stress!!

I knew this morning was going to be crazy because I had to leave work early yesterday and had to be ready for a conference call at 1 PM. I was working at a pretty frantic pace and starving at 11:30 and I didn't think I was going to be able to break for lunch. I was starting to feel anxious and stressed that I wouldn't be ready and would probably have eaten any "bad for me item" within my reach to power through the moment.
I was very excited to remember I had a hard boiled egg in the fridge at work and took a minute to eat it. This helped me regain my focus and I managed to get the information ready for the call by 12:30, which allowed me time to grab a quick lunch before the call.
The theme I've noticed during this week is that breaking for lunch is allowing me to handle the stress better than when I skip lunch and then end up frantically grabbing anything in site to regain my focus and get my work done.
So 5 days in so far so good...the stress is still there...I just handle it better on a well nourished brain:)
