Time to Fall back into Healthy Habits

Friday, September 06, 2013

Water: 359glasses/2,872oz/2,500oz(Aug Goal)
Miles: 31.75(total Aug)/31(Aug goal)/221.5(annual total)
Minutes: 623(total Aug)/900(Aug goal)/9,584(annual total)/13,000(annual goal)
Planks: 1.5minutes - slowly but surely building these!

My minutes weren't there, but all I was doing was jogging. I didn't make an effort to include anything else. Eating has been not so great. I wouldn't say I'm overeating, I'm just not being very picky. No measurements or weighing. I don' feel like I've put on weight, but my body is kinda mushy and I just don't want to get discouraged by numbers that really hold very little value (or at least should hold very little value to my state of mind).

I decided to do a kickstart 2wk plan. I'm alternating between a chest/back/ab workout w/speed ladder walk & arms/legs/butt w/2mile jog. Every 3days I take an active rest day. The st totally kicked my butt. My thighs have been on fire! I'm also doing a yoga cooldown. I'm getting in around 50minutes doing this, but it doesn't seem like it because it's broken down into a 10/30/10. I think I do well with these short little spurts. I was totally kicking butt back in July when I was working towards the wedding. It seemed manageable. Perhaps taking it a couple weeks at a time and then changing it slightly will keep me entertained/motivated.

In other news I have an actual teenager under my roof. We went to see the One Direction movie because it is the only thing she asked for. It wasn't that bad. They're kind of adorable.

You are an amazing mother and I don't think I would go through watching a movie like that with my kiddo. Maybe send my husband to do it. That's what my mom did with the concerts my sister wanted to go to ;) But then again, to subject him to the screaming tweens and teens... Check back with me when I actually get married and have kids. I'll probably be singing a different tune then!

Some action is better than no action. Keep at it, keep determined! You can do it! I think monitoring/updating your minutes and having a visual for it is great for keeping on track.
