Hello again, again.

Friday, September 06, 2013

Since I last blogged I exchanged my "notebook" sized laptop for my current mid size light weight one. One of the benefits is that I can actually SEE THE PRINT on this one. I think I finally found the right one. It's amazing how connected our laptops keep us, to the machine itself, and also to each other. How did we ever get along without portable phones and the internet????? Isn't it amazing how fast we adapt to the latest appliance or machine that we didn't even know existed 10 years ago? And now we think we can't live without them? I remember giving myself a "self-talk" after my old laptop bit the dust ..It went something like this.... " Don't worry, it's okay. You can live without it. It's not forever," and "It's only a machine." So now there's a new machine in town, and the old one is ready for the dust heap.
which goes to show, it's not the machine, it's what you can do with it, the service it provides, and in the end how it connects us with other living humans.
So I'm finding my way back through Spark, and getting connected again. I even lost a few pounds while I was out of touch. So glad to be back. emoticon to all emoticon

Hi Patty, So glad you're back home and Sparking again. I hope your really well and I'm really sorry to hear you were recently in the Hospital.

I know exactly what you mean as I feel like I'd be so lost without my little laptop and it's getting old and I pray it lasts quite a while longer with no saved up money for a new one. I now hate to even go out without my i-phone in my purse as driving an old car I'm always aware I could get stuck and need a tow and with my mobility I couldn't walk far so do reply heaving on my sweet little cell phone.

God Bless and enjoy your Sunday, a day of Church and hopefully some R & R for you.

Hugs & Love,

Jill emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

It's not just electronics that we "can't live without"; people used to live without indoor plumbing and electricity not all that long ago. Welcome back to the modern world.
