Is it health? Maybe you have an illness that's caused by or getting worse by being overweight.
Is it wanting to get into the best possible shape you can be in? Everyone wants to feel good about themselves and look good while feeling good - Who wouldn't want that?
Maybe you don't have much to lose, but you just want to get yourself into good shape. Maybe you're like me, who does have a lot to lose, but also knows how awesome it feels to be in the best possible shape you can be in.
You have to ask yourself - As I have many times... Is the junk food REALLY worth all of the problems the after effect of weight gain has brought into your life? If your answer is "yes" then you most likely are not yet to the place to which you will succeed in your journey. And I know that, because I struggled with it time & time again. Because yes, bad food tastes really good.
I have weight induced high blood pressure, and found out that I had it in 2010. This issue will 100% completely go away - No more meds once I reach a healthy weight. I have no history of high blood pressure on either side of my family, it was all my own doing my eating the wrong foods and gross amounts of it.
For those of you who are far into your journeys now, as I am - You most likely are aware at how much it helps to keep you motivated when you think of all of the reasons you WANT this to happen. I know it does for me. I really want to be able to say I'm at a healthy weight, and yes, looking bettering is a great motivation as well! But that's not the #1 motivation on my list!
Those of you who are new to your journey here on SP - Make a metal list in your head (or write it down, if it helps) of all of the reasons you WANT or NEED to lose this weight.
Wear whatever clothing you wanna wear
There are so many reasons one would wish to lose weight, and if you're just starting out, you have come to the right place, because SP is absolutely amazing as far as keeping everyone motivated & giving them the support they need.
I am feeling especially motivated today, and have throughout the entire last 10 days, and have done great fitness on each of those 10 days. I'm feeling confident not only in the present place of my journey, but in the future of my journey as well!
