Hello. I am on a plateau. A big vast plateau where the more things change, the more they stay the same. Well, at least my weight stays the same. I've been hovering 166-168 for far too long! I've been reading articles today about how nutrition is the key to weight loss and maintenance, and that makes sense to me because I usually don't lose unless I'm pretty strict about desserts and sweets. Every time I meet a doughnut, chocolate, ice cream, cookies, etc., I try to remember that in a week I won't remember whether I ate it or any enjoyment I got out of it, I'll remember what the scale's been telling me.
But many times I eat the doughnut, chocolate, ice cream, cookies anyway.
So I am not surprised to be on this plateau of mine, I just don't like it.
Bandy workouts are continuing, though I've been taking more Life days away from the gym. I'm playing with my nephew (he's rolling over (tummy to back)! At just 3 1/2 months! So proud.)
I started a Hogwarts challenge and am trying to get my footing there, and I'll be a BLC23 captain for the Groovy Geckos. September is going to fly by - SO busy - so I'm not really doing myself any favors, but it'll be ok.
We got the iron gym pullup over the door bar that I've been wanting since college. If I've wanted it for 12 years, I think it'll be a good purchase! I have fun and hope to get better at pullups...I still needed 100 pounds of assist to do 5 pullups yesterday. That means if I were stronger, I'd have been able to move 500 more pounds! That's good motivation to get stronger.
I'm looking forward to the weekend. We'll see how much I can squeeze into this one! Maybe I'll see the downslope of this plateau soon.
