Yes, Another Use for Duct Tape

Friday, September 06, 2013

I'm glad I could provide y'all with a chuckle yesterday! And yes, after another electrode peeled loose last night TC got out his duct tape!

So NOW I look like an incompetent, do-it-yourself suicide bomber! emoticon

The electrodes stayed on last night and even throughout our hike up Mt. Nebo, even though I was sweating like a longshoreman. They were loose under the duct tape. Now that they are off I have duct tape residue all over me AND on the electrodes! Hope I don't get charged for that -- I had to sign a form saying if I lose or ruin the device I will pay $1,500. Hopefully it gathered enough info for the doctor to interpret. I don't plan to do this again!

It goes back today and I don't know if he'll look at the information right away or if that's an appointment for another day.

We are leaving this afternoon for Petit Jean Mountain for 5 nights of camping. We'll do the Boy Scout trail (12 miles) four days in a row to build up stamina for the Peru trip. I WISH it would cool off a bit but it's forecast to be mid 90s with high humidity for the duration. *sigh*

I broke my little Mi-Fi device so no internet for me up there! So I'll be incommunicado until Wednesday.

Take care everybody, and I'll "see" you when I get back!!

Glad you got to see the doctor at least. You do right a funny blog with the electrodes and duct tape! Gotta love that man of yours to come up with creative ideas!

Have you been able to determine if this leakage thing is going to impact your Inca hiking trip? Hope not but please don't push it. Better to wait and fight another day.

Keep that great sense of humor you have! You probably will want to keep TC around to in order to help with creative ideas!

Had to chuckle at the mental image of those electrodes duct-taped on. Hopefully the device gathered enough information for the doctor in spite of the issues with keeping them on! Enjoy your camping and hiking--hope the weather report is wrong and it cools off a bit for you.
