Traffic here in Asia
Is an interesting affair.
First, it appears that you can park
A vehicle anywhere.
On a side walk, or the curb side,
Triple parked into the road.
Backed up in someone else’s yard,
If it’s easier to unload.
Mirrors are dispensable,
Look forward, that’s enough.
And you don’t move out quick enough
And get bumped in to, well tough!
The motor bikes are crazy,
Carrying families of four.
And nobody wears helmets,
What would they need them for!
They weave between the buses
Which have people spilling out.
And if anybody gets too close,
Roll your window down and shout.
Taxis race along the highways,
Seat belts would be a treat.
But usually you sit and dig
You nails into the seat.
Traffic lights are just a guideline,
Take or leave them as you choose.
I love everything in Asia,
But the traffic makes me blue!
