When I began walking out at places initially my husband went with me to encourage me and because I was still so weak he worried about me. As I got stronger he has stopped going with me and truthfully stopped walking. Even at the beach he walked down to the pier one day for a two mile walk but other than walking over to the beach or walking at the sites we visited he didn't. He didn't even take tennis shoes. We however bought him a new pair at the outlets. To be fair he works long hours from 9 AM to 8 PM four days a week he also does all the yard work on the weekends (but does have a wonderful riding lawnmower). He still has to weed eat and use the push mower on area's of our yard. I don't mean to make him sound In active but he needs to get more active for his own health too. He also has three days a week he could walk if he plans to.
This morning I invited him to walk and he is a slow poke in the morning and I am not going to rush him. He said you can be done and home by the time I am through my morning routine (bathroom, shower, dress) takes him an hour. Yes, I can but I liked walking together I said so I will wait.
I am killing some of that time with this blog. I have started chicken in the crock pot for a chilled chicken salad with a little pasta in it, and going to start some laundry, un stack the dishwasher, prepare my supplements and vitamins for the week and get dressed. If he's not ready I'll find more to do. I will wait for him so he can't not go today. I think he will be about ready by then. I really liked when we walked together and if I can motivate him to get started back well that's fair play he got me started back.
By the way, fit bit has shipped my tracker to me so when arrives and it's set up this one will be his and he will hopefully be motivated to get his steps in!
