When I started this journey in 2009 I started running with an out of shape dad friend. We were happy to make it a mile. Once I got past 5 miles he dropped off and I went on to do many half marathons and a couple marathons. The last 6 months have put me back to running with him and making it 2.6 miles and being tired. I should have kept up with it but oh well here we are again. He and I are going to run together once a week.
I would love to say that I am doing more than once a week right now but must confess no. I am taking it slow and adding one new thing a week just like I did back when I started this program. I am still keeping my portion size down. I have focused on no more food than can fit in my hand ( I have a big hand) which means No seconds.
I hope to report more next week. Now kids are back in school I can focus on myself again.
