Thursday, September 05, 2013....

This morning as soon as I got up and had of course a cup of java i did a short intense HIIT workout...Did 10 minute solution, Cardio & Ab Attack...then got ready and headed into the city for some groceries, running shoes as mine are over 2 years and I should have replaced them a year ago (but I liked them as they had really good arch supports and those are hard to find!)and a new pair of jeans as I am between my smallest jeans and the pair I can wear right now ( which are getting to big and the other 2 pairs are still to tight!)...But have you noticed that jeans come in all sizes and I am not talking about different sizes I am talking same sizes but they all fit different?? Like for instance I have a 11/12 that fit me years ago and to try them on today is like trying on a six?? Or When i bought my jeans the ones I bought were a size eight but yet try on a different pair of 8s and they wouldn't go past my thighs?? Really? whats up with they think we are all diferent size 8's 10's or whatever you have?? Lol no an 8 should be an 8 and so on and so on!! Don't you agree? Anyhow I do know I am shrinking!! And thats all that counts!! Soon I will get into those tight jeans Of mine (what ever size they are!!) that are sitting in the draw collecting dust bunnies!!

Today when I was in the city I came across a young girl around my daughters age...23...she was standing in the parking lot to wal-mart looking so sad and lost...i asked her if she was okay and she said not really she had class at 6 (which it was 6 already) and that she was from Calgary but orginal Jamica and was totally lost and was waiting for a taxi but for some reason it wasn't coming,,,I asked her if she wanted a ride..and she looked at me shocked and asked me...Really?? And I said yeah if you trust me I'll trust you and she said sure!! And I gave her a ride first to her home to drop of her bags then to I know some people would think I was crazy for giving a ride to a perfect stranger but man if that was my daughter I hope some good person would help her out! So that's what I did...and I feel pretty good for doing so! lol!

So very sweet of you to help that girl, and so very trusting!! Glad it all worked out.

I agree with you with sizes these days. I can wear some 2's, but then some 4's or 6's are way too small. Go figure!!

that was emoticon of you to help out the college girl...I can just picture when I was in college and not knowing what to do, hey I'm from a tiny town what did I know about I bet she felt the same.

Oh I hear your frustration...I only like lee jeans and even then the sizes are different...I bought the exact same size lee jeans and took them home without trying them on thinking they are the same....wrong

I agree about sizes - the clothes in my closet sure do range between several. Funny how most men's clothing are pretty much the same while women's never are - even when made by the same company!
That was nice of you to give the young lady a ride.

That was really sweet! And YES the jeans thing is sometimes very discouraging!

emoticon for being so kind - there seem to be so few people out there who are willing to help strangers (hard to trust). I have a daughter who lives far away from me now and I would hope someone like you would be around should she have need...I still worry about her!

The jean thing is a big beef with me as well. Vanity sizing, bah! What I want to know is why was I wearing a size 6 shoe when I got married and now I'm wearing a 9? I think shoemakers should get into the vanity sizing for footwear because there's no way I've gained 3 shoe sizes in 30 years! That's just nuts!

You never know if your kindness will even be returned or blow up in your face but you have to step out there and offer it or the world never gets better. You are one of those people who make the world a better place. We need all the angels emoticon on Earth we can get. Plus you feel great.
I know exactly what you mean. It really ticks me off when my husband just walks over grabs a couple of jean in his size and tosses it in the cart and I have to spend hours trying everything on because nothing, same size supposedly, fits the same. It's not just a minor fit either it's obvious just like you mentioned.

You're awesome and yes, you're an angel! You made that girls day! I hope she pays that kindness forward to someone else and it that kindness just cycles through! How awesome would that be! You are absolutely right though. Because of all the bad stuff that goes on in our world today, we have come to not trust anyone. However, I would hope that if my child was ever in that kind of situation, someone kind (not weird, or crazy) would help them out in the same way!

And I sooo agree about jeans! They are quite finicky and seem to fit our bodies in different ways at different times! I try to buy clothes at the same store that way I don't have to go crazy with all the different sizes that other stores offer! However, my plan is never successful cause one store never has everything that I want. My solution? I don't go shopping! emoticon
