It Is What It Is...

Friday, September 06, 2013

Well, I had my Dr. appointment today, the follow up to my MRI. It shows I do have a torn meniscus, I actually managed to tear it in two places. When I fall I do it right, lol. (or wrong...) This means an arthroscopic knee surgery is now in my very near future. I will talk to the scheduler tomorrow, so I will know when it is going to happen then. I talked to the Dr about the probability of walking a 5K by the end of October, and he said it isn't going to happen. It looks like the Color Vibe run/walk is out for me. :( Kind of bummed about that one, but I did see that Run or Dye was going to be in the area sometime this fall, so maybe that will work out? I am really hoping that this surgery solves the pain and swelling issues, I am a bit tired of that part of this whole experience. It will be nice to be able to walk again. :) Well, it is what it is, and off we go to face the future!

Your correct in aiming for the future Becky! I admit....injuries stink and are very frustrating. But I know you can beat this one cause your a strong cookie!

I'm with you. My Doc has put me on hold pending the surgeon's advice of surgery, brace, or both. Mine are foot problems. I just gave up my charity run for St Judes. We will rebound, and we will be back to do it again.
