Took ZUMBA for the 1st Time!!! I'm On Track!!

Hey Sparkers!!

Let me first say "Thank you" for reading my blog...

Well on Tuesday, I took a real boxing class & then on Wednesday I took ZUMBA!! Man I must say that I am SUPER SORE!!! I even soaked in epsom salt last night but my ENTIRE BODY ACHES, I am sore in places that I didn't know I could be sore in. I mean even my abs are sore so must be some muscles underneath this fat..LOL.. I do look forward to doing Zumba again.

I really enjoyed that it didn't really feel like a workout but was fun. Although, I didn't know all of the moves & was off beat at times I didn't care (plus I was in the back of the class).. LOL. emoticon

I think I will try to aim for Zumba classes twice a week, maybe 3 times. I did sweat a lot in the class, so I know I was buring some calories.. Today though I am taking a break because I was in so mcuh pain that I had to call into work late b/c I could barely lift my legs out of the bed. I'm hoping a day of rest will allow my muscles to relax & get ready for a workout tomorrow!!

Keep on pushing yourselves Sparkers!! This journey isn't easy but what comes at the end of your journey is SOOOO WORTH IT!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I don't have anything else to report.. I'm going to try to aim for blogging more here on Spark. I know I won't have time to respond back but do appreciate everyone who takes time to read my blog.

    I am so glad you enjoyed it and you found something you'd like to do again. I definitely agree with the sweating part so I try to take two bottles of water whenever I go or walk out and refill

I had exactly the same feeling - I had fun and wanted more. I kept going to my zumba class but wanted more. It was hard for me to catch up and I have become kind of frustrated. Eventually I heard about their DVD set. It starts from the first step and gets to the more advanced workouts.     I am DYING to try Zumba. I am not coordinated - I was asked to leave Jazzercise a number of years ago, because I laughed every time I messed up and so did everyone else! But I AM going to try it! Go Cassandra!!!

    I'm so glad that you liked it. I tried it and I did not care for it as I am not very coordinated. I do like aqua zumba. Good luck.

    I love zumba too, and I am so uncordinated it isn't funny, but, I have such a good time, and if smiling burns calories, I burn bunches of them on Thursdays, keep it up, but also let your body get better, don't beat it up too much. emoticon

    OMG! I'm so, happy for you trying Zumba. I'm additive to Zumba and I've done 2 Zumbathons. I also did a Zumba recording with one of our instructors it was 3 hours long. I usually go 4 days a week, but I had a ankle injury from running. I had not been to Zumba for 3 months until Labor Day for the first time. I Zumba like I lost my mind. emoticon I had to modify several moves, but I was okay with it. I was just so happy that I was able to do the class. Plus, we had a great bonus and had 4 different instructors and many variety of Zumba styles. It was the best. With my modified moves I still was able to burn 700 calories. Keep on Zumbing! emoticon emoticon

    I LOVE Zumba! It works parts of my body -- but it's so much fun that I don't realize I'm getting a workout until after the class is over!

    Great that you like your Zumba class. I took it a couple of years back and had fun with two other friends. We were also in the back. lol You'll be out front in no time. Your body is loving your workouts! :) Have a great day.

    I am so happy that you found something you truly enjoy. Remember to build up slowly so you aren't quite as sore. Start with 2 times a week so that within 30 days you are ready to do 3 days.
