Greyhound Pt. 2

Thursday, September 05, 2013

Who travels for 20 hours with a 1 year old and doesn't bring any toys for this baby!?!?!? The people 2 seats away from us, that's who! It wasn't too bad during the night since he slept, but when it got light out and he has nothing to do...it was on! Ugh.

Don't mind me, I'm still tired and sore.

After much crying and whining...some from the 1 year old too, we made it into Oklahoma City over an hour behind schedule. I have never been late riding Greyhound, but it seemed that we spent extra time on stops, waiting for connecting buses that were also late, and taking up time for our driver to pull over and give another passenger what for for talking on her cell phone on speaker phone after several warnings....she was in the back of the bus and we could hear her in the front.

Three seconds after getting off the bus, I felt it....The Heat! IT'S HOT HERE! Every place we have been in blasts the a/c, so I have been switching between carrying and wearing a sweater, lol!

I told my beau before we left that I was pretty sure that as soon as we left the state I would probably be getting a ton of phone calls with job offers...and while I didn't get a lot of them, I have an interview pending for when we get back to Illinois.

It was another couple hours ride with his brother and sister in law from the bus station to hospice where my beaus mom was moved to yesterday morning (another blog to follow), and I have found where the U.S. keeps all their 'nothing'. It's all stored (and baked) in between OKC and Texas! There is a whole lot of nothing in between!

I just knew you'd have some passengers like that!
Tiring to travel, and sorry it was late, adding to the long trip.

Loved your comment of the whole lot of nothing.
That is how I feel about my huge yard here.
I really NEED a swing.

Glad you arrived in one piece if a bit frazzled. God bless you at this time.
