Tuesday was Jazzercise, yesterday was C25K on the treadmill (my first 5K is on 09/14--9 days away, now!!), today will be hot yoga!
That Groupon deal I got gets me 5 sessions at a local yoga place, and I've been wanting to try hot yoga SO badly...so I'm super stoked for this afternoon!!
Last night was a little wonky, but I got 'er dun, as it were... Got home, went straight to the bedroom and changed into my workout clothes, then hopped on the treadmill and did my 5K! It took me longer than I would've liked, but it'd been around 2 weeks since I last ran, and the neighbor knocked on the door halfway through and interrupted me, and I had to get back up to speed...
Made whole wheat pasta with leftover grilled chicken and veggies (took a page out of Chef Meg's book and tossed in some soy sauce and sriracha), had a Skinny Cow candy bar for dessert, did great on water, and only went the slightest bit over calorie (but I was legitimately hungry, I'm not going to feel guilty about 25 stupid calories, lol).
Tomorrow is Friday, which will mean another 5K (hopefully outside this time, since yesterday it was storming up a...storm...hmm. lol), Saturday will be 5K again, Sunday rest day (although I just might go for a nice swim in the pool, weather permitting)...
I've come to realize that I'm really, really lucky when it comes to exercise. I mean, aside from the usual 'I can run where other people can't even walk' feelings, or even the 'I couldn't have done this before, because of my hips' gratitude...I'm really, spectacularly lucky as far as things I'm able to do financially. I mean, we have the pool that's included in our rent, we have the treadmill, the exercise bike, my weights, our bikes, good sneakers...and then that Groupon deal just fell into my LAP... No way to get bored!! LOL
Today's task: re-evaluating goals and setting some challenges!! :-)
