This time last year I was in peak physical shape. I was eating well, excercising at a high intensity level and getting a lot of sleep. When summer was over and the holidays came I started back sliding. I also met someone who was taking me out to dinner a lot and we began dating and eating... relationship chub started creeping in. Then I found out I had serious nerve damage to my foot. I took 6 weeks "off" because, well, your foot is connected to everything. The only workout I could do with minimal pain was yoga, which I did, but I am used to working out like a fiend. Six days a week at an hour minimium. It's hard not to be discouraged by the hours of sweat equity that went down the drain with one injury.
Now about six months of rehab later, I'm back. I am taking it slow so I don't reinjure. I'm eating better and seeing results. What's the whole point of me sharing this you say? Getting started on this weight loss journey was hard; getting back into shape post injury and move is hard but I am DOING it. Every day that I stick with it and continue to improve is a victory and a lesson in patience and committment.
I'm dedicated. Are you?
