It's been a year since I looked at this site. I wanted to lose weight for my daughter's wedding. Lots of delays getting started meant I only lost 20 pounds before Jen's wedding (better than nothing, I suppose -- but not exactly the goal I had hoped to acheive). But, that opportunity has passed and I need to re-focus and establish a new goal.
When I was working out, it felt great. I liked myself and liked the positive changes to my body. I want to feel good again.
It's a new school year, the kids are at school all day, I don't even have to drive carpool. No time like the present, so, now is my time to get back to working out, to track what I eat and make smart choices again. I like the way it feels to drop the weight and the baggage that goes with it.
Here's MY Plan:
First Goal: 10 pounds by October 4.
Second Goal: 20 pounds by Thanksgiving.
Third Goal: 25 pounds by year's end.
Fourth Goal: 53 pounds by my birthday (one to celebrate every year!)
Fifth Goal: 70 pounds by Amanda's high school graduation.
Sixth Goal: Weigh 150 or less when we take Amanda to college.
So, today, I'm going to restart the process and get back on track to losing 1-2 pounds per week. Eat better, workout regularly, and just enojoy feeling better. By the time Amanda graduates next June, I want to be close to my goal of 150 pounds. That's 85 pound away -- and at 2 pounds per week, I'll be very close. My girls won't even recognize me -- in their lifetimes I've never weighed close to that. Sad, really sad, and heart-breaking to admit. But, that's going to change.
