Day 2: Identify what you want
Goals are so hard for me because I have a tendency to focus on the big picture and not the steps it takes to get there. Then I quit because I'm not where I want to be.
My goals are to be fit, healthy, and strong. And I want to chisel out my hourglass figure. I want to be able to do variations of the pigeon pose, wild thing, and scorpion pose. To get there I have to put in effort and start where I am which is mildly flexibe. I also want to run a 5k, but cant currently run for more than 2 minutes straight. And I want pictures. Before and after. Physical accomplishments with a smiling me in a picture. So how do I get there?
Here are my short term goals:
1.Take a today picture
2.Stay away from the poptarts and pop daily
3. Choose fruits and veggies for snacks and at every meal
4.Create a list of 10 distractions that do not include food
5. I will do some form of physical activity for 20 minutes 4 times per week
6. I will practice beginners yoga poses 3 times per week
7.Create a monthly calendar to track my goals
8. Use said monthly calendar
I hope to build consistency and show myself that I can follow through with things. I will continue to build my short, mid, and long term goals as time progresses. I am still figuring it out.
