Since last blog, last week was pretty much a loss when it comes to eating right and working out.
But, it was my boyfriend's birthday, and 3 day weekend, so we had a lot of fun and it was both expected and not really regretted. :)
On Monday, though, I did my first downtown community run in... I dont wanna think about how long! I did a 5 k in like 98 degree heat at 5:15 pm and it was freaking brutal, man, brutal. It took 37 minutes, so it was basically a 12 minute /mile pace. It was harder than my first ever run.
Bright side: I DID IT!!!
And: It can really only get easier from there, right???
(yup, Im seriously jinxinig myself in this one, lol)
So, I felt really good about starting the week like that.
Then, yesterday, I had thought about going swimming after work, but come 5 pm I was feeling STARVED, and it was raining, so I went home and made a seriously delicious veggies, chicken sausage, and pasta meal. I knew there was no way I was going to be able to do a run for several hours, SO, I went for a walk!
I walked 3 miles, for like 50 minutes or something. I know it wasn't a lot, BUT, it was 2 days in a row, and I feel REALLY AWESOME NOW, like, MAYBE I have this momentum thing starting to come back for me, finally??
So yeah. I'm jinxing shiz for real here. But, I feel good. Positive. Optimistic.
Some silver linings I have figured out: since I'm basically back at square one, it means that its super easy for me to have very challenging exercise sessions, right?
Which means, every little thing I do is impactful again!
My goal is to see this scale start to move. I've been at the exact same number for a long time now. I'd like to see some change there, and I think there is room for that! It could happen! YEA!
On Novemeber 2nd there is a costume party. It's pretty vain, but I'd like to feel more confident by then! Show some skin with the confidence I had 1 short year ago!
