Okay, official starting weight for September is 251 pounds. At the end of September, I would like to see 245. That is 100 pounds from my ultimate goal. Six pounds in a month is reasonable and do-able. If I do more, that is fabulous, but I'm trying to take into account how crazy life is right now, and I don't want to set myself up for failure.
I have been doing well with the food tracking, which is good because that is a non-negotiable part of this process. I've got the app for my phone, so there's no reasonable excuse for missing anything now. Everything I've read points to tracking as a key to success, so I'm going to be as accurate as possible. Every bite, lick, and taste!
My NEAT will be through the roof with all the extra hours I'm working, but I am still going to focus on getting more official exercise activity. At least once a week, I will go to the health club and do a spin class or water aerobics. Every day, I will do at least 10 minutes of focused fitness activity at home. I will climb the stairwell from the basement up to the sixth floor at least once per shift.
I am going to make room for de-stressing time, I just don't know what it is that I will be doing. This is a temporary time of increased effort. It has a definite end point in November, after the conference. Right now, my life is resembling what it did before I joined Spark People, and I'm not fond of that. But with a concrete goal and a deadline attached, it seems less daunting, and I know that this will not last forever. Just 66 days. I can do this.
I will blog again in about a week, to report on progress. I hope all my spark friends are doing well. I miss you guys a great deal!
