The last several months have been challenging as my husband has had several serious medical issues. We both gained about 10 unwanted pounds during the ordeal and now that things are slowly getting back to normal, we are both ready to lose them and their "friends". I am not known for sticking with things too long in the weight loss world. I get bored and frustrated very easily and tend to slip back into old, bad habits. I am also an emotional eater and will eat simply for the taste even if I know I am already full. I think it's part of the "clean your plate" mentality.
The big difference this time is that my hubby and I are going to team up together to lose this extra weight. We each have our own goals. I need to lose approximately 110 pounds to be in a healthy BMI and weight range. He has about 50 pounds to lose to be at his ideal weight. Though these numbers seem very daunting, we will both be following the same basic plan and will be able to support one another and help each other with motivation and getting through the tough days. The biggest problem I see is if we both want to be lazy on the same day! LOL.
