Ok back to it--
So I've still be struggling with this whole balance of nursing/eating healthy/working out/losing weight thing. I do pretty good with the working out and nursing thing (ha!) but I clearly SUCK at eating healthy and losing weight. I still haven't found that balance of the perfect amount of calories in.
.....but then again, the cookies, cupcakes, and other terrible for you snacks don't really help that!
But I always feel FAMISHED!!!!! I know that's really common for nursing mommies but JEEZE! I eat more than my husband! (...and almost weigh as much as him too!
So since September is a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Month, I decided I was starting over mentally. I'm letting go of the past few months of bad-for-me things and I'm moving on! Starting fresh.
A clean slate.
In September I WILL:
- Finish my C25K Program (I'm on week 8!! Woot Woot!) and START OVER! (I'm running SUPER slow and really struggling some days)
- Eat more healthy foods-- less processed crap and more fruits and veggies (goal 2-5 servings/day)
- 2-3 Days of strength training/week
- Cut back on the amount of sweet treats I allow myself (1-2 cheats/week....which is much better than the 6-7 I was allowing!)
I'm going to be nicer to myself this month too! It's time to realize that I just had a baby a little over 3 months ago. It's ok that I'm still wearing maternity clothes (for now!). I've got to give myself and my body time to adjust. I didn't gain all the baby weight over night and I can't lose it that quickly either!
I've got to start with baby steps. Little changes lead to big results, right?!
