Let me first say "Thank you" for reading my blog...
Well lets see... Since being told I was a pre-diabetic at first I kind of just put blinders on for about a month honestly. However, I know that I have a doctors appointment next month & want to have better results when I visit my doctor.
Me & my husband just celebrated on Monday, September 2 our 7 Year Anniversary of being together. So, you ask "What did you guys do???" Well we JOINED A GYM on our ANNIVERSARY!! I think this was the BEST GIFT we could give each other ~ Gift of Health, Gift of Getting Fit 2gether!! So, they offer boxing & zumba classes at the gym.. Last night, we both took boxing
Yes, this was the REAL DEAL!! They had punching bags, speed bags, the big gigantic tractor tires that you have to flip over, big ropes, jumping ropes, etc... You name it this Boxing class had it!! This boxing class kicked our A$S!!
I woke up sooooooo sore today.. This class is not for beginners at all but I am going to try to take it once a week on Fridays b/c it was too much on me this morning. That way I can sleep in on Saturday if I'm toooooo sore. They also have ZUMBA!! So tonight I put my dancing
on.. LET'S ZUMBA
I'm looking forward to the variety of workouts instead of just being a machine. I think the variety will keep me wanting to be active & not get bored. So, I'll have to post how Zumba goes.
Next note, so to really lose weight & be accountable- I began tracking my foods in the app called "My Fitness Pal" and I track my exercise in another app "Map My Fitness". I love the "My fitness pal" because I can scan my bar codes or type in ANY FOOD and it finds it with all the nutritional information. I used to write in a journal but then I thought not everywhere I go will take my journal but I will take my PHONE everywhere I go, so it just makes it sooooo much more easier to keep up.
So, I have NO EXCUSE not to know. It's cool because it tells me how many more calories have left for the day or I can put meals in to see where my calorie count will be. Then the "Map My Fitness" app is great because when I walk outside on my daily breaks it tells me how many miles I walked & calories burned. I think it's really great, you can also track food here but can't scan bar codes so I don't mind using the 2 apps.
Also, you can use the my fitness pal online if you lose your phone or don't want to track on your phone.
Well I've typed long enough but just wanted to say that "I'M PRESSING ON!!!" I'm NOT GIVING UP!!!
