So, yesterday I'm doing a TaeKwonDo workout. Heart pounding, lungs pumping, sweat dropping like rain. I was feeling good. Then I did it, I made a pivot move to set up a kick, only my pinky toe didn't go with the rest of my foot. SNAP...OWWWWCH! Toes aren't supposed to point sideways 90.

X-rays confirmed it, broken. And as you may know, there is nothing they can do for it except tape it to the one next to it and wait for it to heal on its own.

I get to take a couple of days off work since I can't put a shoe on. Hopefully by Saturday the swelling will be down enough for an old, broken in, loose shoe to go on. Of course the pain pills will help too, but they make me loopy. Gotta pay the bills though.

Next thought, workouts. No treadmill, no jump rope, very limited TaeKwonDo (I can still walk through forms and study the mental side of it). I am pretty bummed out. I guess I have to change gears and work more on muscle building than cardio. I'll be spending a little more time on the Bowflex I guess.

I also have to be extra diligent about my diet now. Slips and cheats can be a lot more damaging now. I just cannot let this throw me off track. I have to overcome this hurdle. Scratch that. I WILL OVERCOME THIS HURDLE!

    You got this ... I spent 16 weeks on the couch recovering from major Achilles tendon surgery and didnt gain a pound. Check out some of Spark Peoples chair exercises for cardio that might help ... Hope you feel better soon !!!! emoticon
