Day 1 following the long weekend went well. Didn't overeat (well, according to sparkpeople... I'm not sure I love the whole "you get more calories if you exercise more" idea) that much, did three FULL circuits of my cardio "warm-up" [Incline: 5, start @3mph, increase by 0.2 every 30 secs to 5, rinse, repeat] and one incarnation of the "7 minute" workout circuit.

I think the 7 minute workout would be an actual high-intensity workout if they assigned me exercises that I could do for the full 30 seconds each. I.E. pushups: I can't do more than 10 (on my toes) without my wrists screaming at me (same with tricep dips), *sigh* As it is, I just do as many of them as I can, and then rest between.

I also climbed last night, but had to stop earlier than I wanted to because SOMEONE (*gives middle finger on right hand the stinkeye*) collapsed while I was wall walking

causing me to fall ingloriously on my bum. And by collapsed, I mean it bent backwards. So it's currently trying to convince me that taping it to my ring finger would be a good idea (I don't think it's actually injured -- no swelling -- but if it still hurts Friday when we climb again, I'll tape it then). So I totally waited for a whole 5 minutes before continuing to climb and redoing that problem. I should probably avoid that one for a while, though. As I was finishing it (sans fall), I realized that there was a lot of strain on my bad knee from the way the ending was set up. Not worth a real injury, that's for sure!

In other news: TOP-ROPING FRIDAY! That's right! I've been bouldering for the last year and a half straight, so Friday we will re-introduce my stomach to my knees as I remember that I'm afraid of heights! Should be interesting to see how well I climb on a rope, after 2 years of experience bouldering!

In other news, apparently sour snowboards and TV don't lead to weight loss. Who knew? Scale was back up, but I've got a handle on it. No more gaining for me. Just the losings! Strength day! Woo!

    You know there is an upside to this story. If you have to do the buddy system and tape two fingers together. Then someone cuts you off in their car. When you get mad and try and give them the finger. You will actually give them the fingers, and they might ask for your number. emoticon

    Eeek! That finger sounds painful! Hope it heals fast!

I had no idea you were afraid of heights. Seems silly as I know you as an aerial yoga/rock climbing wonder woman!

I would love to get into rock climbing, but I have barely any upper body strength. Plus I have no money to find a place. Hehe!

    Oh no! I hope your finger is okay! That sounds not not not fun.

You definitely get me interested in climbing though, sounds like both a mental and physical challenge?
