Lunch Time Walk

Tuesday, September 03, 2013

I made it out for my lunch time walk, 2.8 miles. It was 95 degrees when I went out. When I came back, a co-worker told me to be careful walking out in the heat. I guess heat stroke could sneak up on you. But I usually walk in the shade. There is a stretch where the sun is bearing down on me but it's when I first start walking. When I get to the middle of my walk, the sun is not bearing down on me. But I will definitely be glad when it cools down some. I'm tired of this beach weather.

95 degree temps would be a very easy excuse to not exercise, especially in the middle of the day while you're at work, so I'm very proud of you for getting out there and doing it anyway. If you're in the shade and you drink water, you will be fine. You're only out there for an hour.

Good job getting out there, shade is good and I'm sure you take some water, so no worries!

I was just thinking that something I find really helpful is wearing a visor outside. It keeps the sun out of your eyes (in addition to sunglasses ;)) and it keeps the sun off of your face! Just a suggestion :)
