Whenever you have chronic issues sometimes you don't realize how ill you are and how far a walk back to healthy is. That is what I have been finding out this summer. I was really, really ill for a long time before I got myself back to the doctor and started to heal.
This June found me back in my gastro doctor's office with him telling me that I was the sickest he had seen me in years if ever. I was to focus on taking my medicine and taking each day at a time. Lots of rest, fluids etc. I followed up with him in August and he said while I was doing better I still have a long road a head of me and that not to get frustrated as I wouldn't be rushing back in to exercise but to listen to my body not my head of when it is time.
Last week I started to get signs that my body is ready to start back into the exercise realm. I am sleeping a consistent amount, going to bed at the same time and up at the same time. It is also helping not to be near 100 degrees each day. I have in the time this summer identified other foods that my body doesn't like not an allergy per say and not quite an intolerance but a preference.
I am starting to journal my food again and have an android phone that works better with Spark. I am starting to crave exercise which I think is a great sign. But I am going to take it one step at a time.
