    The film school i went to was a for-profit college... it sucked... they didnt even hide the fact they only cared about the money... sigh... emoticon

    **SIGH** Isn't it disheartening! These kids NEED college and they NEED to have a job afterwards! Thank goodness @ my DD's college they DO have a LOT of help with job placement. That's a huge advantage. And it is a state school, though.

I started out @ a state school and for my major had to end up going to a private college . . . diddly squat in the job search area!

    I think all the states should follow Oregon's lead....they have made state-run college education free to students there. I would like to see them do that in all 50 states. At least then, students would have that option, if they chose to pursue it.

    It is terrible. My son graduated from a private college and they did nothing to help him find a job.

    I agree...and think it's such a shame. Some people pay so much money for schools that really don't deliver on promises for employment -- or that are even accredited. I am a huge believer in the community college system and wish more people would simply take advantage of that instead.
