Working my way back to the plan

Well that was a great weekend. I had a blast on Saturday once I convinced myself Steve was okay after his race. He had a cramp in his calf crossing the finish line in his race and basically fell crossing the finish line. He is not having a good year so far running and it is not likely to get any better. He wouldn’t listen when I told him to start running in the spring to start building the legs back in shape. So he has been dealing with shin splints all year. So, we are settling in for more of a grind it out year for his senior season which is disappointing but hopefully will teach him a small lesson.
After making sure he was okay and had what he needed, I went on to watch football. And totally enjoyed the day! My team started a little rough but UC ran away with a win and looked awesome doing it. They have a pretty weak schedule from everything I read, but that’s why they play the games. To see how it is at the end of the year. I thoroughly enjoyed the bad for me bar food and beer. Sunday I did walk a lot but not really fitness walking. Monday was back at the gym on the bike and knee is feeling better. I did take it nice and easy though. But regardless the workout did feel great. Tonight I will force my youngest out to walk with me. Then due to evening plans on Wednesday I will need to hit the gym tomorrow morning. Yuck, but we do what we must.
The food tracking and eating wasn’t the best on Sunday as I did well all day then gave in to cravings. Monday was much the same, but I am reigning myself back in. Again, not trying to force it, but getting it back under control without damaging my psych. So, I just plan to work it in slowly and get back to the same plan I was using earlier.
So, hopefully everyone had a great long weekend and enjoyed their time off.
