I am completely dysfunctional this morning. I woke up fairly awake at 8, and by 8:30 I was so sleepy my eyes were shutting by themselves. I took a shower to attempt to wake up... didn't help much. I'm still struggling to keep myself awake. A nap sounds so nice. But I must conquer the sleeping all day monster!

Yesterday was a pretty good day! I made an amazing stir fry for dinner and had it with a serving of noodles. The sauce was amazing. For anyone that's a Chinese food fan, the sauce tasted like the sauce on Chicken and Broccoli at a Chinese place. Sooo good. And since it was mostly veggies with a little chicken, I got to have a bit portion of it.

I went for a walk, also. The temp was much better than the past couple days. This time it was my muscles killing me by the time I got finished. But that's a good thing, means they're really getting a workout! And then there's just the sheer satisfaction of saying... "Yeah, I did that." Cause... yeah, I did.

Two friends came over yesterday afternoon and hung out. I don't see them often, so I was pretty excited that they came over. They're also on diets, so we could commiserate. Misery loves company and what not. Then it started getting into late afternoon and I started to get hungry. Having learned my lesson from the previous day's granola bar disaster, I decided to eat a cheese stick and a few crackers. Very helpful. Even so, I was pretty hungry by the time they left, so I made dh help me in the kitchen. Both of us chopping and whatever at the same time got it done half as fast!

The last part of the evening was looking doe eyed at dh while he rescued his damsel {me} in distress. Or fixed my computer, anyway. It was being a turd.

I hope everyone's day is starting out well, and that you're all less sleepy than me!

    Awesome work getting a walk in! And great job making healthy food choices yesterday!

I'm sure you already know this, but if you eat in a way that keeps you from ever getting *super* hungry, this will be easier for you. I do this by eating every couple of hours -- usually just a piece of fruit or some cut veggies -- and manage to stay within my calorie range this way. My day usually looks like around a 250 calorie breakfast, a 350 calorie lunch, a 500 calorie dinner and between 500 and 700 calories in snacks (today it's a banana, 2 figs, 2 mini peppers, a plum, a chocolate truffle for dessert after dinner, and rice crackers). I eat often so I'm never starving, which definitely helps.
