Had a nice weekend! Hubby and I got up early Saturday morning and hopped into the car and traveled to Marietta Ohio. We rode on the sternwheeler...like an old fashioned paddle boat up into the muddy Ohio River. It was a nice ride. The weather was gorgeous. We ventured around...ate outside along the river...outside. Again the weather was gorgeous. We got up the next morning and drove around some and then went through Fenton Glass in West Virginia. Then we ate in a European restaurant in the downtown area of Marietta and the headed back home the scenic route on old highway 40. It was nice up and down the hills and seeing the road less traveled. We got home around 7:30 Sunday evening. Had a restful evening and then puttered around the house...trimmed bushes, caught up on laundry, puttered with my plants etc. Then we took Mom out for a drive in the countryside for an hour and a half. She enjoys that and it too relaxes her. Then we took her to pizza and then home. She wasn't too difficult. I miss the days when we could tease and joke with her. The roles have changed. I am usually quiet around her. When I say too much she gets argumentative or takes it like I'm being critical of her or we need to do something for her...so all in all it was a pleasant evening. IT was a relaxing weekend.
Back to work. Co-worker will be back from vacation. Hope she had a nice time too!
Off to begin a great week!
