Kick starting my exercise

I unfortunately did not lose or gain this week, I tend to only lose every other week. Even though I am increasing my walking distance each week I am going to be out of town this week and the hotel that I am staying in has an exercise gym so I am going to do my best to walk each day as I do now but I am also going to try to do some other type of workout daily while there to see if it has any effect. Let me know if you have experienced any type of exercise that will jump start your metabolism and build up the upper body core. emoticon

    I walk most days. I do strength training with dumbbells 3 times a week. I am a tortoise;
I tend to go slow and easy.

    Strength training I hear is the best way to start your metabolism working because muscle burns more calories. I noticed the other day when I started feeling better that I have lost a tremendous amount of strength over the past 2 years of laying around. Time to start the bathroom pushbacks and get out some weight bells. emoticon

    for me, 6 small meals a day and making sure I get an hour of walking or other cardio every day, plus whatever other workouts (weight training) I plan. Wish you the emoticon emoticon

    I wish I had an answer for you. Kudos to you for jump starting your exercise this week. I understand that you'd like to lose faster but slow weight loss is weight loss! Keep up the good work!

    Each one of us has to find what works for us. God made us as individuals with individual metabolisms and needs. Seek Him for that direction and then follow His instructions! emoticon emoticon

    Slow and steady wins the race! I just walk and follow direction from spark...small meals scattered throughout the day and my metabolism LOVES it...
