August Progress Report with Goals for September

August wasn't a total wash.

1. Plank Challenge
It went quite well. I worked up to 3 minutes and 30 seconds so I'm proud of that.

2. Fitness Minutes
I had 522 fitness minutes.

3. Weight Loss
It was non-existent. I was 149.3 at the beginning of the month and 161 at the end. It was +11.7 pounds. I know that some of it is water weight as I ate out a lot last month. There were two weekends that the hubs and I were out of town and ate things that are not healthy. So, yes, I'm a bit of upset but I cannot dwell on this. All I can do is move forward.

September Goals:

1. Nutrition
I have three outings this month that will require some planning on my part. However, I will plan and stick to it. I'm going to start carb-cycling my calories. I've been reading Chris Powell's book (read the old one, just started the newest one) and I am going to do my best to follow his guidelines for my total transformation. It's in our minds. The mind is the most powerful part of our human makeup so I am going to let it take over and the rest will work itself out. I don't know how many times my mind said "do something" and my body refused. Well, not anymore. Also, I will drink a minimum of 80 oz of water daily with the goal of 128 oz.

2. Fitness
I am going to get 700 fitness minutes this month. I am also doing a wall sit and plank challenge with the ladies from work.

3. Weight
This will not be hard if my mind is in control. The goal is 2+ pounds per week for a total of 10 pounds. I will weigh in on Saturday's for my BL challenge with the Emerald's & MFP challenge with friends and then again on Monday's for my work challenge.

    Great goals for the month. You are right about the mind being the determining factor. You have to believe it and want it in your mind and once you do, you are unstoppable. emoticon

    I'd stay away from weight loss goals - there are too many things that can influence weight. Better to stick to measurements.

    Determination is the key to success! That's what I'm trying to remember as I go from day to day, from meal to meal! I'm in a couple of challenges to and wow, it sure can help one to think straight!! Good goals you have Becky, dear friend indeed, and they look so doable because they're for you and you alone!
