Chapters 6, 7 & 8

Beginning of the year this was my New Year's Day quote. I had a plan everything had SMART goals and this is going to be the year. One blog a month was to keep everyone up to date and myself accountable. I think the saying is "the best laid plans..."
Several of my little goals happened and I am still here on Sparkpeople. So the year has not slipped by. Chapters 6, 7 and 8 are missing, in part because I was missing. Time to work on plan B. The fall in May turned into a huge ordeal and I have struggled with every aspect of my healthy life style. Who knew that a simple walk would mean so much to me. When I found myself unable to exercise I did what I do best eat. The difference this time was healthier choices, but over eating is over eating. Now four months later, I get to refocus and set a few new small goals.
Walk three times a week for 20 minutes.
Weight loss of 5 pounds this month.
How can I reach them and stay motivated is the question. I can make it happen on paper and in my mind. So here it goes; walk for 20 minutes is an after supper stroll to the light and back or an early morning walk around a small lake close to home. I can take time for me three times a week. Now the 5 pounds is another story but I will start with water. I need to make sure I drink my water and take snacks to work (apple cut up, popcorn or carrots with some ranch) then plan them into my calorie intake for the day. If I eat them no harm no foul and if I don't no harm no foul.
