5% Challenge - Week 6

Monday, September 02, 2013

Well another week down and another pound down emoticon emoticon

I am hoping that I can reach my 5% down in this challenge--but we still have a few weeks and things happen. I am trying to stay focused and moving at least 30 minutes a day or more and really working on my food tracking.

The Labor Day weekend took me to my sister's because my niece was in the hospital for a week (running all kinds of test) to find out why she had been running a fever for over 3 weeks. All test came back negative (which is good) until the infectious disease doctor found that it was an aggressive virus that was not showing up in the first test.

She was put on steroids and antibiotics - fever down finally but she was still suffering from headaches. Doctors then found that there was a leak from the spinal tap that was causing the headaches. So they had to go back and inject her with her own blood to patch the leakage. This was a bad week for them but things are now emoticon looking good. Hopefully she will be able to go home tonight.
So yesterday we did a bit of celebrating with my sister and family and we ate more than I would have normally and we even toasted to her health. This is well worth it!!!

Today I am back on track and getting ready to tackle this week!!! I also forgot to say that I did lose 2 inches and was able to get into so pants (still a bit tight-but getting there) that were in the back of the closet!!! emoticon
