In the past week, we were quite a bit more active than we have been. Today, we walked and picnicked at Sheffield Regional Park. "Redneck-swimming-hole-turned-
city-park", Sheffield has fishing, boating (non-motored-craft), and lots of hiking. They have basketball and football, too. There is a 2.6 mile hiking trail around the big lake. The Girl Scout troop has been meeting there on Thursdays to walk around together, the "Girl Scout Troop 1223/1240 Fitness Club". The girls will be earning one or two badges just by joining us! We will be having talks, challenges, and lots of fun.
One such talk will be the Bronze Award. I noticed TWO possibilities for the BA at the park. Possibly putting signs around reminding the trail-walkers not to litter, along with a trash can at the trailhead. Another is to make a picnic area by the lake, or benches along the trail. Definitely going to bring those up in our BA meetings.
Back to the activities. Other than walking for the past three Thursdays, I have also exercised on my own every day in the past seven days except Friday and Saturday, when I was feeling ill. Hopefully I can keep this up! I'm dragging my daughters with me LOL whether they like it or not! Of course, they mostly like it
