20 weeks till I turn 40

Monday, September 02, 2013

I had a doozy ( sp? ) of a cold this weekend, and wasn't in any condition to blog. Today, I am feeling a bit better.

I am at 206.8 lbs, down (. )8 lbs. Less than a lb, but that is just since yesterday. I lost exactly 0.00000 lbs. in the 9 days preceding that.

Still, I am happy. I hit my original goal of 207, which was 3 lbs times 69 inches tall. This is very amusing, because 5'8" is a bit of a stretch, so 5'9" is just a total I chose this completely at random. I was in the 180's at 19 but was very skinny, and at 20 I was 215 while powerlifting. I felt good at both, so I just made up a number in between. Should have been 204, but I guess I felt tall at the time.

My next goal is really 197, but I will of course celebrate Onederland before then. At 197, I will officially be only, not obese! Over 4 years to lose enough weight to just be fat. I continued my walking, even while sick. I just used a lot of tissue, and emptied my pockets when I got home. My goal to see Onederland before 40 seems pretty simple right now. Seven lbs in 20 weeks? No problem!

My goal is still to lose a lb a week, and since it is already Monday.. 206 is a good goal for my weigh-in on Friday. I will continue to walk, and eat my low carb, and we'll see what happens.
My cold is almost gone, so I plan on just relaxing today after my walk, and some weightlifting. My summer shows are ending, and soon it will be back to reality show heaven. I watched Continuum last night, and I think Under The Dome is ending tonight, or next Monday. I am out of books, so may walk down to the library, which is just 1.5 miles south of here. Not sure if I want to carry a bag of books back and forth though.

Have a great Labor Day, and a good week!

I know what you mean about being happy just to be overweight. On the bright side, "not obese" sounds fantastic. No one wants to be labeled obese, or as one of my co-workers who's prone to mispronunciations says, "o'beast."

Russell, stay happy, as life is to short to be anything else. This is the only life we ever live, so we have to love each and every day. emoticon

:) Sometimes, Russell, I think that you are MY reality show! (I don't watch much TV.)

Having said that, no drama, please! No ER trips, major illnesses, or carb meltdowns! I want the hero to win!!!
