It's due to finish tomorrow but I don't want it to finish. I'm taking it all the way to Christmas Baby!!
I've also registered a small loss again , which is a bit of a miracle considering how badly I've eaten ALL weekend! No excuse, it was bad and that's it!
Weight on 15th of August: 79kgs
Weight on 2nd of September: 78.8kgs
So why do I want to carry on? Because I don't think I've seen the full potential of the 5:2. Starting it during the summer holiday may not have been the best idea as my son and I do tend to have more treats such as ice cream because of the weather and our routine usually goes to hell with later breakfasts and suppers, meals out, etc.
But now, my son is back at school tomorrow. I have started work again today after 10 days off. The routine is back on!
I'm also experiencing with something else. During the holiday, it was an absolute nightmare to have to prepare lunch for my son on the days I was fasting - it felt a bit like torture as I do get very hungry around 1-2pm but had to handle food without being allowed to have any!
So I've decided to change my fasting days. I was fasting on Wednesdays and Saturdays as they are the only 2 days I do not exercise (I am worried about my energy levels on fasting days.) I am going to keep Wednesday as a fast day: my son is at school (no lunch to deal with) and I'm at work. I'll be busy, it'll keep my mind off it.
And I'm now going to try and fast on Mondays (for the same reasons as Wednesdays.) This is a bit more scary as I start the day very early on Monday: up at 5.15am to go to the gym at 6.30am for BodyPump.
So from my small breakfast at 5.30am to going back home after work and food shopping at about 5.30-6.00pm, it's going to be a looooooooong day without any food. Plus, as I said, Monday is BodyPump day and I usually am ravenous on BodyPump days.
And today is the first day I'm experiencing Monday as a fast day. I had a small portion of porridge with blueberries at 5.45am (I was a bit late dragging myself out of bed!) and it is now 1.17pm and I've not eaten since. I'm feeling ok, not listless or anything, but I am hungry and I can feel a slight headache coming on. I've had plenty of water to drink but I'm having another green tea as the caffeine sometimes help with headaches. I have a banana in my bag in case things get a little too much, but I'm hoping I won't need it.
And, as I had that small breakfast before going to the gym, I didn't have any problem with my energy levels during BodyPump.
If today is a successful fast day, I will permanently switch to Mondays from now on. Then I won't have to cope with having to prepare lunch for my son and feeling tempted by the food.
My lunch time is almost over so I need to sign off soon. As I was not eating, I used my lunch hour to revise for my exam and type this little blog: how very productive of me!
