Week 3 of the BLC challenge for 20 somethings with 100+ to lose has come to an end, and I have to say this has been my best week in a long time.
I only lost 1 pound this week, which is about par for the course for my body, but I've just been in such a good place mentally that I can't bring myself to be disappointed with that. I tracked all my food, kept my carbs where I wanted them, kept my calorie deficit where I wanted it, and exercised as planned! I tried new veggies as per this week's challenge, and though I didn't hit 25 grams of fiber each day, I did track it!
I also had a really fantastic week at work. About 2 months ago, I began a job as the Executive Director of the symphony orchestra here, and tonight was our first concert of the season. This first one is always presented at no cost to the audience at the bandshell/amphitheater in a park in town (weather permitting). Being outside, we're able to accommodate about 3 times the crowd we can in our normal performance hall, people can bring picnics and beverages of choice, and we have lots of fun activities for kids. The weather was pretty touch and go until this afternoon, but it ended up being a mild, beautiful night. The crowd was huge, the music was INCREDIBLE, and everything went off without a hitch, which I'm pretty psyched given this was my first show planning things! Professional success is just feeding the general feeling of accomplishment I've had this week.
So on to the next one. I know there will inevitably come a time when things seem hard and frustrating again - I've come to expect the ebbs and flows of motivation with this. But I'm going to my best to keep this up for as long as I possibly can!
