Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November;
February has twenty-eight alone,
All the rest have thirty-one;
Excepting leap year, that's the time,
When February's days are twenty-nine
The above is a nursery rhyme that I learned as a child and it has always stuck with me.
Today, on Sept. 1, I reflect on the past month of August and looked ahed to my goals for September.
In August, I had a milestone birthday, (I am now a proud member of the 50 and older gang), went on a whilrlwind birthday/geocaching vacation to visit such landmarks as Mingo (my geocaching sparkpals will know what I mean), Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse monument, Badlands, Sturgis and Wall Drugs and took a zentangle class.
In September, my goals are simple. I want to get back on track with my weight loss. I have thirty days in which I want to be able to see a weight loss, increase my work-out time, and eat healthier. I suffered an injury working out and had to take it easy for a few months. But now it is time to play with the big dogs again or stay on the porch so to speak!
So welcome September!
