Another migraine last weekend. So darn hot here this week.

Sunday, September 01, 2013

So a week ago yesterday I got another migraine. Laid me up good for 2 days. I had to go get another pro-time on Monday @ 11:45am. Too darn hot here this whole week. Having to use Franks car with no AC is killing me. lol People with Lupus will understand that extremes of weather does a number on us. It's 3:30pm here and just under 100 degrees. Most of last week was over 100. Wouldn't have been so bad but S.CA decided we needed a bunch of humidity. Very rare for this area but it is what it is.
So it's 104, no AC in the car and I had to drive to that darn pro-time appointment having just got over another migraine. It is a little over 10 miles round trip but in traffic it takes about 20 mins or so, one way. Then on Wednesday, I had to go to the ATM and I get there and lo I do not have the ATM card. It is still sitting at home. Back to home, back to ATM, then get some gas in Franks car ( he has gone out job hunting most everyday and still no luck). I go to CVS where my script for a refill for Maxall Melt (generic version) is waiting. I grab the bag go home and it is not the melts but pills. I don't even know the name of the doctor that is on the paperwork? So I call CVS, head back to CVS and my head is pounding again, from the heat, pouring sweat. I finally get the correct melting pills. I find that using the melts works best and faster for me then the pills which take longer to kick in. When one gets aura's with flashing lights, you want that medication to work now, not in 30 mins.
So that's my story and I am sticking to it.
For those that commented on my last blog regarding the Lazy Boy furniture. If LB has the furniture you want at the S.CA warehouse located I believe over in Riverside County, we live in Orange County, in color, style, fabric. You can get it delivered to your home in under a week, unless you want to drive to the warehouse & pickup yourself. This is why it is taking so long to get our new living room furniture.

Whew, lupus or no, that's WAY too hot for anyone to contend with!

Hope relief has come your way since then!

So sorry you suffer from these terrible migraines :( That is great if you have a medication that works to stop them in their tracks if taken quickly enough. I can't imagine doing anything with those.
Its been hot and humid here too, must be a widespread thing. I don't mid it though. I feel better with heat then our cold so I won't complain and won't use A/C -I am allergic to it big time.
I have been shopping around for a comfy chair and so far found one I really like, but its expensive (ridiculously so for a simple chair that is not a recliner!!!) The ottoman is extra and almost $200!!!
Looking forward to what you find!
Feel better soon!

I live in N Florida and I don't do cars without AC either. I would rather cover up with a blanket than turn the thermostat up because at any minute, here comes another hot flash! LOL

Even if the house is set at 80, it feels wonderful to walk inside. Looks like today will be the following:
Walk 1 mile, come inside.
Walk 2 miles, come inside.
Walk final mile, come inside and die.

Then I can do all the rest of my exercise in the AC at the house. But walking, I can space out as I am not trying to give myself a migraine (which happens in the heat), nor do I want to fall out in my massive yard where I walk!

Oh, my! How terrible that you are having to drive around with no AC! Then to have so many false starts and have to go and do the whole thing over again! It has been very hot here, too! It is a heat index of 105 to 106 and actual temp is 103.

Hope no more migraines for you, that must be so miserable! The heat surely doesn't help does it? Take care of you and try to stay out of the heat as much as possible. What happened to your car? emoticon emoticon emoticon

(Hoping this posts the right way. All goofed up!!)

i understand you intolerance of heat. We have also been hot and extreme humidity. It finally broke for us last night with storms coming at us. Did we get rain?? NO. So needed here. You really didn't have a very good day either.

You will have to let us know when you get the furniture!! We love Lazy Boy and for a special order, it takes about as long for us but you are a couple thousand miles closer!! I hope it comes soon for you. And try to keep cool!! Hope the migraine cools itself as well!!
