Weigh in day

This week I decided to rejoin the gym. I am walking 3- 4 miles a day but now I want to start doing some strength training to start to tone my body. Also the gym has a pool and I love to work out in a pool. I love to swim but I also love to exercise in a pool. So I am very excited to start back. Also as the weather gets cooler I will have a place to go to work out. Maybe one day I will get up enough courage to actually try a class. I am really starting to see some changes. My clothes, especially my pants have become really big. I have not bought any new clothes yet because I really have not had any time but also I am a little afraid that if the size is not what I am hoping for (and I am not sure what size that is) I will be disappointed. Isn't that silly. I just want to stay focused and positive because I'm afraid that anything negative will inhibit my progress. I just can't let that happen! I have never gotten this far before and I am feeling so healthy and blessed that I am afraid that I will slip up and backslide.
This week I tried Kale, I liked it. I sautéed it in a little olive oil and garlic. I am starting to experiment with different types of food. I think this is a good thing. Trying new foods will give me variety in my diet and keep meals fun. So if you tried a new food let me know maybe I will put it on my foods to try list. So I hope everyone has a great week.     Congrats on all your success so far. You can really see a difference in your pictures. I haven't tried anything new lately, but something I did try a while ago was baby lima beans and they are good. Don't have the tast I remember as a kid.

    I like the idea of trying a new food each day. I myself bought and tried couscous yesterday. I mixed it with veggies and it was really good! When I was a kid, I hated kale. Its funny, because just the other day at work, one of my coworkers and I were discussing how we should try kale again. Good luck at the gym!

    I like Stay39's comment about the gym. I do all my workouts as home, but I used to take classes and found them fun! Although that was a very long time ago! I eat basically the same foods all the time as it is easier, plus I do not have a wide variety of foods on my plan right now. I will have to try Kale sauteed as I usually have it raw. You are doing awesome!! Remaining positive sure does help!! I try not to mess it up either!

    Sounds like you are in the zone! I absolutely love my gym. Don't be afraid or shy away from the classes. I tell myself something I've read before- " they are not judging you, they are rooting for you!" I choose to believe this is indeed true and it helps! emoticon

    exercise classes can be a bit intimidating so I bought exercise videos I can do at home when know one is looking Palates is good to do because you learn to use your own body as weight I also like Leslie Sansome walk arobic dvds. Under 200 now I bet you jumped for I have a way to go but considering I weigh 250 now and in April I weighed 296 I am happy with myself
